PASMA is best known for its training programme which has helped more than 40,000 users in the year 2007 alone to improve their safety and operational performance. This training course is only available from PASMA Registered Training Centres, the authorised programme is not available from any other source.

Work At Height Regulations

Work at Height Regulations require that only competent people be permitted to work at height and plan, manage and supervise work at height activities.

Our PASMA training courses now include a PASMA inspection tag, hart had hat(with chin strap),gloves, a hi-vis vest, and a spirit level for each candidateOur PASMA training courses now include a Tower User's Safety Kit for each candidate, ensuring that they are properly equipped to complete their training, and have the correct equipment to make a positive contribution to safety when they return to work with their new skills.

Competent Person

Person with sufficient professional or technical training and knowledge, actual experience and authority to enable them to:

  • Carry out their assigned duties at the level of responsibility allocated to them
  • Recognise potential hazards related to the work (or equipment) under consideration
  • Detect any defects, or omissions in that work (or equipment), recognise any implications for health and safety caused by those defects and omissions, and be able to specify a remedial action to mitigate those implications

Kingfisher Access' training course content, instructors and training premises have been subjected to a rigorous assessment to ensure compliance with PASMA training standards. Furthermore, we are subject to an ongoing audit regime conducted by the Training Scheme Auditor to ensure that we continue to meet the high standards demanded by PASMA.
